This page explains how this website processes personal data, in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Reg. EU 2016/679), the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003), the ePrivacy Directive and the guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued on 10 June 2021 by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Cookies — short version

This website does not use profiling or advertising cookies and does not require a consent banner. It stores no cookies, local storage or other identifiers on your device. The only exception is a technical security cookie set by Cal.com only if you open the booking widget, described in its own section below. We use only privacy-friendly, anonymous measurement and a small number of strictly functional third-party services.

Anonymous analytics (Vercel Web Analytics & Umami)

We use two cookieless measurement tools: Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.) and Umami (Umami Software, Inc., in its cloud version). Both collect aggregated, anonymous data (page views, referrer, country, device/browser type) without cookies, without storing your IP address and without any identifier that can re-identify you or follow you across other sites. Because the data is anonymous and aggregated, under the Garante’s guidelines this does not require prior consent. Analytics are not active on this page.

Booking (Cal.com)

The “Book your Visual Strategy Session” button opens a scheduling widget provided by Cal.com, Inc. The Cal.com script is loaded only when you interact with that button (hover, focus or touch): until then, nothing is sent to Cal.com. When the widget opens, Cal.com receives your IP address and technical browser data, and its infrastructure (Cloudflare) may set a technical security cookie on the cal.com domain (__cf_bm, 30-minute lifetime), exempt from consent as strictly necessary for the service to work.

The data you enter to book (name, email, any notes, chosen date and time) is processed by Emme Works S.r.l. as controller, to organise and hold the meeting you requested. Cal.com processes it on our behalf as a data processor (GDPR Art. 28) under its data processing agreement, in line with its privacy policy. The booking is recorded in our calendar and mailbox.

Contact by email

If you write to info@emmeworks.it, we process your address, the details you share and the content of your message only to reply and handle your request. The website has no contact forms: mail travels from your own client to our email provider.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Server access logs may be processed by the hosting provider for security and to deliver the site (a strictly necessary purpose). See the Vercel privacy notice.

Fonts, libraries and social links

Web fonts and the JavaScript libraries used for animations are self-hosted on this domain: the site loads nothing from Google Fonts or third-party CDNs, and no IP address is shared with third parties simply by visiting. The Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube links are plain links, not embedded content: no data is sent to those platforms until you click them.

Legal basis and retention

Anonymous analytics relies on our legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage (GDPR Art. 6.1.f). Booking data and email correspondence rely on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (GDPR Art. 6.1.b). We keep booking data and correspondence for as long as needed to handle the meeting and the contacts that follow; if an engagement results, for its duration and for the periods required by accounting and tax obligations. Aggregated analytics contains no personal data.

International transfers

Some providers (Vercel Inc., Umami Software, Inc., Cal.com, Inc.) are based in the United States and may process data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses or participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework); in the case of analytics, the data involved is anonymous and aggregated in the first place.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability (GDPR Artt. 15–22), and lodge a complaint with the Garante (garanteprivacy.it). To exercise your rights, contact info@emmeworks.it.
